I am deeply saddened by the reality of medicine in the US.

I fell from a tree in Hawaii – sprained my pelvis and received a compression fracture in the spine.
On the mainland I found myself in sterile rooms with pessimistic receptionists and doctors once again.

I always leave feeling more concerned and tense than when I arrived.
I learned a new word that seems appropriate to share.
